Education:

Mr. Gould graduated from San Diego State University in 1984 and California Western School of Law in 1987. While at California Western, Mr. Gould served as a Staff Writer and Notes and Comments Editor for the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal. Mr. Gould was also active in the California Western Moot Court Competition and Debate team at SDSU.

Prior Experience:

Following law school, Mr. Gould worked for several law firms whose major emphasis was the representation of doctors and hospitals and the defense of medical malpractice claims. Thereafter, Mr. Gould spent seven years with a major insurance defense firm in Los Angeles where he represented insured homeowners, automobile owners and business owners facing claims and lawsuits largely involving personal injury claims. Over the next 20 years Mr. Gould, through his own firm and other partnerships represented several self-insured entities, retailers, construction industry professionals, business owners as well as injury victims. Through this experience, Mr. Gould gained achieved industry specific insider knowledge of the insurance industry, claims process, and big firm defense experience that few Plaintiff attorneys possess.



Attorney Evan A. Gould continues to provide services to a handful of long time business clients helping to ensure compliance with industry-specific laws and regulations. He also assists new employers with the development of policies and procedures, work place investigations, sexual harassment training, drafting severance agreements, release agreement, and with representation in state and federal court and in various administrative settings.

Community Involvement:

Mr. Gould has lectured before various groups in San Diego and Southern California concerning fundamentals of civil litigation; Developments in the area of employment law; How to minimize risk from employee claims; The benefits of mediation and arbitration; What to do (and not do) if you are Sued, and many other topics. Mr. Gould regularly participates in events designed to provide free or low-cost legal information and access to the general public. Mr. Gould also volunteers as a Moot Court Competition Judge and continues to mentor law students aspiring to become attorneys.

Licenses and Recognition:

Mr. Gould is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of California and the United States District Court, Southern and Central Districts. He is also licensed to practice in the State of Colorado. Mr. Gould is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA). Mr. Gould is a member of several prestigious legal organizations including the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Lawyers of Distinction, AVVO.com Top 10 Lawyers, and is routinely rated as 5 stars by most attorney rating web sites.
